Our story

While we farmed on a screen,
they farmed for real.

We were harvesting pixels. They were harvesting the land.

Some years ago, on long lazy afternoons, we — the grandchildren — were hunched over a glowing screen, tending make-believe fields. We planted cartoon crops, set timers to harvest them, and fenced in pixel cows. We called it Farmville, and we honestly thought we knew something about farming.

Meanwhile, in the green hills of Karjat, our grandparents Raghunandan Kedia and Santoshdevi Kedia were doing the real thing. No timers. No refresh button. Just 1987, a patch of stubborn red earth, and the quiet belief that something good could grow here. They cleared the land by hand. They planted mango trees, doodhi, and rice. They waited out the monsoons and the long dry months, and they kept going.

What started as just 1.75 acres slowly became a living, working farm. Season after season the fields filled in, and the farmhouse they built became the place the whole family came home to.

Somewhere along the way, we put down the mouse and walked the real rows. We learned that true farming is slower, harder, and far more rewarding than any game — that a mango you grew with your own hands tastes like nothing you could ever download.

Today we carry their farm forward. We still grow mangoes, doodhi, and rice the way they taught us — and now we share it two ways: the fresh harvest we send to your table, and the farmhouse we open to you for a few slow days in the hills.
